Outdoor recreation in Lapland
Lapland has lots of open space for outdoor recreation. In our incredible national parks, you can enjoy yourself in the beauty of our pristine nature. Take a nature excursion or go for a longer trek. There are trails of various kinds in Lapland.

Permissions
In Finland, the freedom to roam applies to most instances of accessing nature by foot, skiing, and bicycle. There are, however, preservation areas in Lapland where access is restricted or even completely prohibited. For more information, click the following links.
