Ylitornio Christian College

Education

Approximately 70 students attend basic courses at Ylitornio Christian College annually. The college offers vocational training for future children's instructors in their child and family work educational programme. An all-round educational caring industry and social worker training programme with a duration of one year provides students with readiness for further education in the fields of social work and health care, as well as practical skills. Roughly a third of the college's activities consist of special education for mildly handicapped students.

Courses

An ample selection of short courses adds to the education in the different fields at the college. Additionally, the college provides supplementary vocational education in many fields and training purchased by the labour administration.
We also offer customized training and are open to requests for short courses. We gladly accept requests for courses, and will cooperate to plan a training session to your liking.

Other events

We also offer venues for training sessions, meetings, and other events. The cosy environment and the beautiful and calm surroundings create an ideal setting for different functions and activities. Our college is well suited for small and large groups alike.

Facilities

Ylitornio Christian College  has excellent facilities for working and studying. The atmospheric rooms in the main building, the function and dining rooms with their baulk walls, are also an ideal place to have family functions.

In addition to the function room, we have smaller class rooms that are suited for group work.

There is a barbeque hut, St. Peter's chapel and the municipal sports centre and indoor swimming pool in the courtyard area. The swimming pool is available to the public, but you can also book a private session.

We can accommodate up to 70 guests and the function room, which has also been inaugurated as a church, can seat about 100 people.
