The statistics show that the industrial sector is growing in Lapland. In 2018, the sector’s turnover was total 9.7 billion euros and there was a growth of 6% compared to the previous year. The biggest turnover growth has been in construction as well as in forestry and logging.
Companies in the industrial sector employ 17 100 people, which means that one-quarter of all jobs in Lapland are in industrial sectors.
